Sure, I think a lot of those are because they had a truck sitting around they wanted to use, vice trying to find one that is similar in size and shape. The problem I got into is that to do axle swaps like you are doing also means suspension and steering design, which has it's own learning curve, and was just beyond where I felt safe going first time out on such critical components.

Plus I do love the look of those BUDD wheel patterns.

A body swap means all that mechanical stuff stays mostly the same and is already correct and designed for modern speeds and handling. Trying to hide all that under the stock body is probably just a different bag of problems.
