I too have heard the "Bounce" fabric sheet story from all kinds of folks that store old cars and boats, from several different states while I was in the Army. I've done it for years and it seems to work. They're nice too because you can roll them up and stick them in hard to reach places - just like mice love to look for.
In the spring when you take them out - you can still use them in your dryer! : )
