i ran a brand new tire on my oshkosh. it was a freebie from a friend, the other side had cracks you could stick your finger in.. the good tire blew out.. i think if its hard round and black, run it... if you can't handle a blow out in a truck u shouldn't be driving one. just my 4 cents worth
