A few years back shortly after doing a rebuild on a 230 engine my engine developed the lose of oil pressure problem and I can tell you that shimming the oil pressure relief valve is only a temperary fix. After a few weeks the problem comes back. Right now I'm in the process of rebuilding a 218 engine that I'm going to use in my truck and someday later on down the road I'll go back into the 230 and try and find out what went wrong. Robert
