If you have a cummins engine you may want to keep the original size. My father has been a Cummins Tech for 33 years and when they came out with the electronic controlled engine systems they had a swarm of guys bringing their trucks to them with low power complaints at high speeds. What Cummins and dodge came up with was that the electronics were giving the engine false readings due to the change in tire size and thus the engine was in turn de-rating itself, some what like what a mechanical governor would do.
I suppose you have a gas and I just rambled on for nothing.
