I bought a 2001 Chevy 2500 Duramax crew cab early this summer. It was a hard thing to do as a Power Wagon owner and loyal Dodge man, however for this kind of money, I wanted what fit best. The crew cab is great for my family, and I like that the rear seat folds flat - the Ford seat does not fold. I'm also glad I did not wait for the 2003 Dodge 2500 crew cab - I don't like the look of the over exaggerated new Dodge. The Chevy is also a bit shorter than the Ford, while offering more cab room and similarly sized bed. I got the Allison transmission, and while I'm just now purchasing a trailer to tow the Power Wagon, I've been thrilled with the power and speed of the Duramax/Allison combination. I've been getting 16.5-17.5 mpg, mostly around town driving. I have not had any fit and finish or other problems to date.
