I have a question. I am the above mentioned person who bought a 6 1/2' bed hoping to use parts on our W300M and WM300. After disassembly, we measured the width of the tailgates of the two 6 1/2' 's v the original bed on the W300M. The W300M tailgat was 1" wider along the top rail. One of the short beds came from a D-100 and the other came from a W-200 crew cab. Anything that you can add would be great. I was previously under the impression that all the 3rd series type beds were the same width. Could someone measure a later bed ('66-'68) across the top rail of the tailgate to compare?
