Well, the 300 is big, but it is also BAD. Bad mileage, bad longevity. Why not (if you can't find that Hemi!) use a 258 I-6 AMC/Chrysler Jeep engine? There must be millions out there and there is awesome speed equipment availble for them. Cams, pistons, manifolds, headers, EFI, etc. Plus they mate right up to several HD trannys and transfer case combos. I've seen 300+ HP and 18 mpg. Only thing I don't know is the lenght, but it must be shorter than the 300?
