Personally, Id go with the Ford 300 six. They are awesome torque monsters and there are quite a few hop up parts out there for them. They also will run for ever. The GMC 302 six is good, but not so easy to get parts for. BUT seeing the GMC 302 six had a few military applications, you can put military waterproof ignition on it...But still, Id go with the Ford 300
