The ones at Carlisle look very original, unmodified and almost perfect. At least two were repainted. But as you point out, the cost is a lot higher.

Did they make a lot of these? I have been interested of f and on in the Marmon-Herrington Fords from the early 50s but these seem to be much rarer.

Are they rarer? ....and mechanically, how do the NAPCO, MH and Dodge systems compare? I don't think these Chevys I saw had a low range because I only saw extra lever.
