The original planks were not uniform widths. Only the skid strips were. On my 1950, several planks were spaced side by side between skid strips, particularly in the outer rows. In a couple of cases narrow boards were used to make up the difference between the width of a wide plank and the width between skid stips. One other thing, the plank above the gas tank sending unit had a plug cut to allow access to the sending unit. I have seen this on other original trucks as well. Good Luck.
