A 331 is not a 315, it will not just bolt in. The 315 was based on the dodge series engines, they where/are lighter in weight and physicaly smaller in size then the chrysler or desoto hemis. The 331 should be around 300 horse if it is a 4 barrel where the 318 will be a bit less. The parts are out there to put a 331 in your truck, it will depend on how much you really want to do it, and clever you are. There is now a company that sells rebuilt 331, 354 and 392 hemi long blocks, it has been advertising in a MOPAR mag for the last couple of months. If you do this there will be a few trials to get through but it will be a neet truck when you get there.
