I found a truck with a WDX-WM300 style cab on it, and I'm trying to figure out what it is.

It has a short wheel base 97" or so from axle to axle(no signs of welding on the frame). The axle's have offset pumpkins with bolt on inspection covers.
The rims have 5 bolts holding them on, and 10 bolts around the rim.

The dashboard looks like the dash in the WDX crew cab on the picture page. There is a "Truckmaster" heater in it, model 52.

The transfer case has what looks like a parking brake on the back of it, and it claims to have a 9.6 to 1(it's hard to read) ratio. The truck has no winch, but has what appears to be some kind of attachment point for equipment instead.

A flat head six lives under the hood, it appears to have run recently(oil leaks still fresh, newer battery). There are 4 levers coming up through the floor, two are together, the other two are in seperate slots.

There are three tags on the dash, one tells something about gear ratios, another says to disingage the transfer case before going on a hard surface, and the third was not legible.
A crome knob in the top center of the dash(shaped like a T) is the release for the windshield(I think)

What I was hoping is from this information someone could give me an idea of what I had found, and the value of it.
Also I was hoping for an idea of what to look at next, to identify it further. I'm just not sure what details are important.
The truck is fairly rusty, and has no bed. The for sale sign is asking $2100, but I think that that is high.

I am not up on the prices of WWII vintage trucks, so maybe it is a good deal. If sombody is interesting in buying this truck, E-mail me and I will give you the info.
I'm more interested in Town Wagons, but when I saw this truck I wanted to know what it was since I thought that all of that style cab were WDX-WM300's.

Thanks for your help.

Eric

P.S. Joe, GREAT site, I just found the database and the guest book, every time I turn around this site has more to offer!
Thanks for all your work!
