If I remember right I threaded a piece of rod with a 1/4 pipe thread ,but i cant remember if I pushed or pulled to get them out . I don't have a PW any more so I cant look ! But the solid rod threaded workrd a lot better than useing 1/4 inch pipe did - tried that too
