A very important point not to overlook: After installing any PTO, check clearances on the gears by rolling the counter- or mainshaft by hand with the transmission top off. Things should turn freely without a lot of slop on the PTO output shaft. If it is binding, add another gasket and try again. I've seen the proper setup take as many as 8 "thin" gaskets. Some feel that only is needed, and pay an expensive price later. Some Gar-Wood (original) PTO's on WDX-W300M PW's have a metal spacer ring that becomes lost, but the 3/8" or so difference is obvious. Good luck. dg.
