Disc- do springs rattle? Plate- are fingers even?

Set it on a flat surface, not that old pallet. Table saw? See if the plate is parallel to that surface, give or take a cover that was bent because somebody did not loosen the bolts is stages.

And how ell can you spin the disc while on it's shaft? Somebody might have left the 200# tranny hanging on it, and bent the center.

Personally, I try to test drive trucks before I tear into them. If the clutch worked then....
