Yes, they go out of calibration. I have a friend who used to work in instrument services for IBM at the Kingston NY site, where they built Main Frame Computers. Every Torque wrench used on the computer build lines had to be calibrated each month and have a current inspection sticker. My friend told me that they would find torque wrenches form a tad out of calibration to a lot. The calibration/inspection, was also required of all torque screw drivers.
