No, you have sludge because of partially burnt fuel.

The heat and pressure turn gasoline into other components. Like an oil refinery. Add water and oil, and you get sludge. It's made in every engine, and is worse in those with poor crankcase ventilation.

Explain to me please your theory on why a pan that does not drain it all out is an advantage.

Oh, the use of a settling pan is a good idea- while the engine is running, and using non-detergent oil. Likewise the floating pick up. But there is no reason not to allow it to drain out at oil changes. Except an easier/cheaper pan.
