Just in case some readers here might be to shy to ask, the diameter of fluorescent tubes are measured in 1/8 of an inch increments. Thus T/12 = 1 1/2", T/8 = 1", and T/5 = 5/8".
Several years ago when I first started following this site, I kept seeing guys using the letters ATF, and not being a mechanic I simply asked the question, what is ATF? Of course several guys answered, Automatic Transmission Fluid. Well why didn't I think of that? But now I know.
Just be wary of the character that would send you to get a stove pipe wrench, a spool of plaid thread, or a frost loop, etc. etc. JJB.
