So it's funny you say this.... As I finish my re-build of the front axle, I put a new master cylinder in to go with my remote reservoir. It is an older m37 style with a 1/2" NPT plug on the top. I filled the reservoir last night and tonight there was a puddle of brake fluid on the floor.. It looks like the top plate (which is cast) is leaking around the gasket. I'm draining it now to pull it out again and I'll inspect. I know the six bolts are snug and I know the copper washers are in place.

Will gasket sealer (silicone) get eaten up by the brake fluid? Is there any sealant we can use? It's low pressure, so no worries on that end.
