Just my personal experience - may not apply to you.
Having had Jeep CJ5 and Toyota 4x4 trucks in my younger years, I found that steering stabilizers proved to be only temporary (very temporary) band-aide fixes for symptoms of much larger problems. These served dual purpose as my daily drivers and my weekend run-em-in-the-mud four wheelers. I ran tires from 31 x 11.50 x 15 all the way up to 40 x whatever x 15. The big/wide tires amplified wear in the steering components.
Today, I would make sure all steering components were in new condition and use a steering stabilizer only as a last resort. I would actually go back to stock size tires before resorting to a steering stabilizer.
Just my personal experience.
