My truck came with a MU2 winch, driveshaft and pto in the bed when I bought it. I always planned to install it. I cam across a complete winch from a guy 60 miles from me that was out of the truck but had the pto and driveshft still attached to the transmission. he wanted $1200 but I bought it for $600 because it was all there and it turned by hand. Mine was stuck. I rebuilt the newer winch with bearings and seals and it is now working on my truck. I took the original winch apart and had all the housing components steam cleaned at an engine rebuilding place to get the grease off. It still has remnants of the olive drab paint and based on the s/n, I think it is military. It now turns and is not frozen. with the spool it weighs 140 lbs. Not sure what to ask for it and considering the weight, shipping will be expensive. I was thinking $350. I would also be willing to sell parts from it. Please let me know what you think. The PTO and driveshaft are on ebay. feel free to make an offer and I can take the listings down. Thanks
