If your having problems with the rod coming out if you bump the pedal backwards I found a fix for it. On the steering column there is a section of steel sticking down you can drill a hole thru for a bolt. The bolt a strap of steel onto it and behind the clutch pedal. You can bend the strap 3/4" x 4-5" long so the pedal can't come back if you hit it with your toe. That is how I fixed my problem with it coming out of the floor master cylinder and causing the pedal not to relies the clutch.
