that looks original from what I can see of the side seam. The modern choices are sewing a wide piece of vinyl into the side seams so that they are able to fold them up in a box for shipping. The worst of it is the needle spacing. Your example is about 1/4" as was the original, the repop stuff is sewn so close that it perforates the cardboard and it tears like a check stub.
I have mentioned it to the venders but they shrug.
