I did some minor repairs to the bottom skin of my camper in the rear corners. A couple of seals failed around the plumbing pipes and generator compartment. All I can say is I am sure glad for the campers aluminum frame and foam block insulation. The only damage was to the bottom skin which was coated luan plywood. I replaced it with 3/16 black ABS sheeting. The stuff is great to work with and cuts great on the table saw and drilled holes are easy. It is not brittle at all. I did do one change to the bottom skin. I used ABS spacers in the center of the sheets of ABS to force it to have a slight belly to the bottom. In the center of the belly I glued a 1 1/2 " threaded abs fitting and screwed in a clean out cap. So now if I ever have a plumbing or other leak it will go to the center of the belly and I can drain the water and dry it out. The problem with most all trailers and campers is that there is no way for any spilled or leaked water to get out. It just sits in a low spot and starts rotting structure and plywood that is used.
