Used boxes can be bought used (I think Ric has a pair of first series sides on hand), but unless you are looking for driver quality or worse I wouldn't buy anything used. Restoring a good to decent pair of sides would cost more than buying a new set. Even if you have the skills to fix the sides yourself that energy would be better spent somewhere else as the new sides will give a better end result.
