Definitely balance the tires. Also check for bent or off center rims. I had power kings and sold them when I went to Michelins.

To get the best ride you need to go through the entire front end. Any slop in the front end will allow any tire movement to amplify. I went through and replaced all spring and shackle bushings, tie rod ends, drag link ends, wheel bearings, knuckle (king pin) bearings, shock absorbers and adjusted the steering box. The result was a very stable and shake free ride with basically no wonder on the road.
