Well, my truck was a non winch truck to begin with. I've added the winch and pto. When I put the tranny in, the pto was attached and I found out I needed to remove the brake pedal/housing to get the pto to clear.
So, I am waiting to finish mounting the tranny to figure out how much grinding I'll have to do on the brake housing to get it to fit.
As you know, I was using alignment studs, I ended up removing them to see if that would make a difference. I was able to move the tranny in a bit further without them, although it is still not all the way in. I did not want to force it with the bolts so I will wait for the alignment tool. Hopefully that will fix it.
So in the interim, I am replacing all my u-joints and reconditioning my drive shafts.
