Yep - Anything that keeps the moist air away from the cold metal does the job. I need to do that in my shop, insulate under the steel to keep the cold moist air from condensing water on the underside of the tin. Worst is when there's snow on the roof, high humidity, and the bay doors are open so there's more airflow.
Used to have an ihc travelall with no headliner, it could collect an amazing amount of water and dump it down your neck when you started down a hill.
