If it is a '44-'45 it should have the hood ornament and dodge badges made out of painted plastic and not chrome plated. This was due to metal shortage of the war and these trucks are known as 'blackout models' I have a 1944 1.5 ton myself, it has the plastic parts.Dodge, among the other mfrs was allowed to make select models during the war for civilian use in industries that would benefit production during the war. My truck was purchased new in '44 by the owner of pear orchards in Colfax, Cal. I received it as a gift from the family when the eldest son (Harry Bianchi)passed away in 1994. Sadly, Harry died from complications of malaria he contracted while being a prisoner of war and surviving the Bataan 'death march' in WW2. He was 78 years old. He knew my love for old dodges!
