Stubborn pinion seals?

Anybody have any advice on getting a stubborn pinion seal out? Ive removed pretty much the entire seal except the outer ring. So far i haven't been able to get any kind of puller on it. I was afraid to use heat because of the bearings inside the diff. I doubt it would hurt anything but thought i would check with y'all first. Any ideas?
