Interestingly enough I've never broken a spring on a wood hauler. This truck trashed the rear axle but that was BEFORE it was a wood hauler. That was at 160,000. Over 300,000 miles now with no issues. Rust has killed more trucks than weight ever will.
Springs break all the time on bigger trucks.
