Update. My oldest sons car ,he opted to forget about putting the trans in it and went with a dodge Dakota.
4X4 question. My other son has a 2000 dodge 1500 4x4. the 4x4 don't work but I'm confused..
We jacked up all 4 corners of the truck. Put it in Four wheel drive. Nothing... Front axle don't turn. Now I know there's a vacuum actuated unit in the axle that splines the passenger tire to the axle shaft. When the drive spins shouldn't the differential spin? and if the differential spins shouldn't the driver side tire spin. I'm not understanding how the actuator on the passenger makes the driver side wheel spin> Bill
