If you want to restore it, it's worth paying twice as much and getting good sheet metal. There are still a lot of beaters around, especially M37s, but they all have rusted out windshield frames and tailgates, bent fenders and running boards, missing beds, and a multiplicity of holes drilled in dashboards, floorboards, doors, fenders, etc. I'm no body and fender guy, and when I see what it takes to repair that sort of damage, it blows me away that anybody can even do it. Hacked-up electrical systems can be restored to original, and drive trains are usually perfectly good or relatively straightforward to overhaul with new bearings, seals, etc. But you will spend way more on body work than it would have cost to buy a truck with a good body to begin with.
