Tuesday Febuary 9th is special to me and this year will be the first time i will be cutting back my Fastnacht eating. {donuts] My Grand father was a baker and some of my best memories were going over to my grandparents house the weekend before and helping them make Fastnachts. It was a all day affair. My Mom, sisters and wife all try to make Pops fastnachts, good but never like his. Family traditions, we all have them and need to keep them alive. Just like our old trucks. Save em and take care of them for years to come. AND if were lucky we can pass them on to our children to pass them on to there kids. If your not sure about Fastnacht day look it up on the net it will explain to you. I have been cutting back on my food portions. So far so good. The Pennsylvania Dutchmen.
