You don't want to press on the high point. Use some blocking so that the force is placed away from the high point on each side. The high point will be unbent as the part bends around the blocking. I think I'd try about 15-20" spacing whiile tie rod is supported at the ends. Tough to do in words what a simple sketch can convey.
But very little metal work is done hot. Use tonnage instead of heat.
