I’m sorry this is not Dodge or power wagon related, but there are so many knowledgeable folks on the forum, I thought I would ask your opinion.

My son called this evening asking for advice. He purchased a new 2015 GMC Sierra Denali with a Duramax today, but while he was signing his life away the salesman took the truck back for final cleaning and to top off the tank. Apparently the salesman mistakenly put a couple gallons of gasoline in the tank before realizing his mistake and topping off the tank with diesel. I don’t know how many gallons. Then the salesman drove the truck back to the dealership (1/4 mile) before telling my son he would not be able to take delivery today. When my son questioned why the salesman admitted the mistake.

My son asked me if he should let them keep the truck or go ahead and take it. Unfortunately, I don’t know enough about diesel engines to give an intelligent answer. My gut reaction is it's not a big deal, but this is a top of the line truck with a price tag approaching $70K. If there is even a hint of damage he doesn’t want the truck. But for all I know I, this is not big deal.

Thanks for your advice.
