They are a pain in the rear. I have woods around me and their tunnels go into my yard from the woods. My neighbor puts chemicals down to kill all the bugs and worms in his yard. That kills the moles food supply so they head my way. I will not sterilized the soils on my property so I have moles. My last dog would catch them by watching for surface movement then take his paw and lay back a little patch of grass. Once he actually brought a live one into the house and was playing with it on his bed.
