There is a situation that has happened more than once on dairy farms, where there is a problem with stray current in the milking parlor.
What was noticed is the cows would not give the quantity of milk they should be. After a lot of examinations and tests by the veterinarian, etc., sometimes they figured out the cows were getting little shocks when they were grounded to certain equipment. Not enough to cause them to bellow or jump, but enough to make them scared and not let their milk down. These cases were verified by electricians that were called in.
The dairy farmers that have had this happen lost any hair they had left trying to figure it out, and lost money in the process, sometimes a lot of money!
