Worked on my water tender for at least 7 years with out doing any thing but draining my tanks once in a while of any excess water that got by it. But I never had my brake lines, brakes or compressor stop working due to ice build up. It blows the water out the bottom when it reverse purges the canister after operating the compressor for a while thru a 12VDC heated exhaust air valve.
