The PW rim is 6.5 wide, combat rim is the same, so you need to ensure you don't get a tire for a rim much wider than that. Any rim is easy to balance, problem with a lot of combat rims, they have worn lug nut seat and out-of-round conditions, just made that way. Most tires are out-of-round and when mounted on combat rims, you have a tire situation that is oblong requiring truing the tire to the rim by either grinding or cutting the tire once it's mounted. Failing to do that results in the truck wobbling when driven. Balancing without truing is not a satisfactory condition.

I run 1100R16 Michelins on combat rims with 8 oz. of balancing beads inside to tube, no external weights and performance is very satisfactory.
