Winch yoke

I am installing an MU2 winch on the 48 WDX. The winch and bumpers are mounted to the frame. The yoke on the winch input is loose on the shaft and can rotate several degrees which leads me to believe the shear pin is sheared. I originally tried pounding it out with a punch and it did not budge. Any suggesting to pull the yoke off? I tried putting a shft thru the u-joint holes on the yoke and tapping but that didn't do it and I did not want to damage the u-joint holes. Thanks and Happy New Year
