Why is it that so many people feel compelled to remove an air cleaner before leaving a vehicle to sit for an extended period of time in the elements and/or in the presence of vermin and insects? It's almost as if they are trying to say, "Hey look. I have no idea of what I have just done, but it sure made me feel like I've just performed some important preventative maintenance. Now everyone will know that I'm going to restore it someday."
