What about not even looking under the truck. What I said or I'm doing is allowing the restomod guys the ability to run rics wheels to keep the original lug nuts and wheel welded into a safe 17" shell. I think that's a major achievement. The wheels are what makes the truck. Your not even going to pay attention to the old obsolete axle when you have the correct wheels. These are for driver quality trucks. Never would I change out the axles on a original wagon with original powerplant.
As far as ruining the value as some have told me in the past they are referring too the limited number of 2nd series trucks with useable beds. Now there are endless beds to re create a perfect truck.
