I think that story is one of the best Gordon ever wrote, and I've heard from several people who said that the story really resonated with them. It captures so many of the elements that create the mystique of a Power Wagon.
Your trucks have been an inspiration to me Dan, especially your red 6x6. I've wanted to build a 6x6 Power Wagon since I saw a picture of one in the PWA in 1991. But it was your red one that pushed me over the edge to actually start the project. That was 5 years ago, and I plan to have mine on the road next year. The cab is coming together now. I'd love an open cab, but I have to park mine outside, so it's a closed cab for me.
