That is what got me as well. If you just want a heavy duty truck and aren't looking for all the frills, do yourself a favor and look into a used service truck. You can find newer ones for reasonable money if you go that route. Lots of times they have high miles but if they are fleet maintained you can get service records and such.
I got an 08 Dodge 5500 4x4 diesel that was clean as a pin for the same price as a used 1/2 ton. There are deals out there, just look around.
