to go big block you need a big block bell housing and motor mounts only came in 66-68 dodge trucks. The 383 was an option in those years. also the bigger trucks had optional 361 and 413 big blocks. I might build my next 1 ton with a 361-3 out of a medium duty rig. probably same mileage as a poly but more torque. but you have the poly 318 sitting their. is the camper special beyond hope?
