If you know what I was hauling, that would be doubly true. I'll feel better about it once I've had a chance to go through the brakes front and rear, keep changing the gear and rear end oil until it stays clean, adjust the valves, get grease flowing through all the zerks, change the tie rod seals, get the windshield washer working, and at least brace up the rusted out floor pan and cover the holes with something. I did just enough to get by for these two necessary trips and I'm glad it held up. I haven't even changed the motor oil yet, because it looked clean when I got it. I'm going to be able to do anything about the fact that the slant 6 just doesn't have enough power to move the truck and trailer loaded at any kind of reasonable speed up a hill, though.
