Most of the tires I have used on my M-37 in the past thirty+ years have been retreads. Most have been used tires at that and I have never had a problem with them. What I have found is that the compound for the retread is harder than that of a new tire and they do last longer. Also the diameter is usually slightly larger. I don't run a V-8 with tall gears so I keep it to 55 m.p.h. I don't know who does retreads as I haven't sought out new ones but most I have used were government contract tires as seen from the markings. I would not hesitate to run any that I find. Just match the diameter for each axle. Perhaps others here may know of major companies' and a list can be formed. Keep em rolling.....Jackson
