What,
I'm certainly NOT the world-leading expert, but I'll give it a shot.

A "flat fender" and a WDX-WM300 are the same. They look like the truck at the top of the Forum main page. They are called flat fenders, well, because they have flat fenders. These trucks were built from 1946 through the late 60's (even into the 70's for export). The WDX-WM300 comes from the MANY model #'s given these trucks through their 22+ years of manufacture. The earliest trucks were WDX and the latest models were designated WM300. They had many other model #'s as well, B1, B2, C1, C2 etc, they were even called W300M's one year.

Poke around this website, there's TONS of good info. Don't be afraid to ask questions either. This is a good group of folks and they probably have more than 100 years of combined experience.

The serial numbers are located in two places, the driver’s side door jam and on the left front frame rail. I've read that some later trucks had the frame number on the right rear, but that could be wrong.

Good luck and welcome to the fold!
